Re: Sept: 25th

I'm afraid that I cannot afford airfare to europe and back. If you were able to buy me an e-ticket, I'm sure I could negotiate a few days off from work to help with the transfer.

You mentioned a certificate of authenticity... Is there a way that you can mail me a copy to prove that you have the legal authority to donate the funds? I would hate to get my chapter excited over the idea of a large donation, only to get drowned in red tape.

Also, do you have a preference for organizations that you would like the money given to?
For example, I could give it all to my particular chapter of the red cross, or I could donate it to mine and other local agencies. However, it may be better still to put it towards more globally oriented non-profits, and non-profits from yoru own country. That way you would be giving back to your own community.
It wouldn't be trouble for me to look some up, I am familiar with this sort of thing (we are always makign partnerships with other non-profit agencies). Where are you from, again?
As far as global non-profits, Habitat for humanity has a good relationship with us, and they do good works world wide. I take it by your original letter that you are a religious man. We could put aside a quantity of the money for faith based organizations.

I hope that I can continue to help you with your humanitarian goals. Only by living a virtuous life, can we hope for salvation.
God bless.

Daniel

  • Note that I keep asking him to mail me something. This is integral to my plan of "getting him to mail me something."
